Frank and Sherri’s Seattle Shared Housing Symposium and Bus Tour is not a traditional seminar. It’s an event that brings together people who are interested in using real estate for a dual purpose of financial independence, legacy and providing community change. You will be with many of the successful investors that Frank and Sherri have personally mentored who now own homes. Our goal is for you to have fun, network, be inspired and get the tools you need to enter the shared housing business. To learn more about us: www.kateshousefoundation.org and www.frankandsherri.com.
Frank and Sherri’s Seattle Shared Housing Symposium and Bus Tour will take place on Friday September 15, 2023 at the Airport Marriott Hotel

Frank Candelario, is the co-founder of Kate’s House Foundation®, the first nationally accredited sober living homes in Washington state. Kate’s Houses are the first accredited homes to have medically approved treatments for co-occurring disorders of mental health and substance use disorder.
Having a superior product has lead to some of the innovations that Frank and Sherri have brought to their model of shared housing. From the purchase and renovation of their first house, quality was paramount. Frank developed a reproducible model of housing, using quality products in the renovation as well as building with high quality materials. It is the highest importance that the structural components of a shared house are engineered for a quality housing experience for the residents. What you do not see is as important as what you do see in construction. Frank is a registered real estate broker and has overseen many remodels of our homes. With Sherri, they control 8 million dollars in housing acquired over a seven year period. They have completed 20 housing remodels and rentals in the past five years. Frank and Sherri are national leaders in shared housing models and won a national award in 2016 for their housing.
Sherri Candelario, Ph.D. is the co-founder of Kate’s House Foundation®, the first nationally accredited recovery homes in Washington state. Kate’s House are the first accredited homes to have medically approved treatments for substance use disorder. Sherri earned her doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Washington Medical School. Sherri is an expert on how opioids work in the brain.
After experiencing typical recovery homes with a family member, Sherri and her husband, Frank said “we can do better” for all people with housing insecurity. “We will own the real estate in safe neighborhoods and provide a launching pad for people with housing needs”. We developed a model of charging BY THE BED for homes in appreciating neighborhoods. The outcome was superior housing, federal and state contracts and people regaining their lives.
Sherri and Frank brought accreditation standards for recovery housing to Washington state as founding members of the Washington state affiliate of the National Alliance of Recovery Residences. Sherri is on the Board of Directors of WAQRR and co-chair of a health care committee that advises on best recovery practices for the state government.

In 1995, after 25 years of writing Securities Compliance manuals, Dennis Blitz started a Club for Self Directed IRA pioneers. These people saw the value a Self Directed IRA offered them, but soon found themselves asking many important questions. What investments could they make, what exactly were the rules, and how could they comply with the rules? Members had many questions that their CPAs often could not answer.
The club met monthly, where members discussed investment opportunities, new rules and regulations, and mistakes to avoid. In 1998, Dennis decided to create a Self Directed company named IRA Club: a company that kept the spirit of a club and treated every person like a member. Today, IRA Club has thousands of clients. Each one is treated with attention and care, just as a member deserves to be treated.
